Reach For Your Word

Reach For Your Word

Going through life struggles and temptations sometimes the only thing you can do is reach for your Word and reach for God. Calling the best friend wont do it. Depending on your coworkers, won't do it. Depending on your mate, wont do it. The only thing that will do it, is God.
Sometimes God allows for us to get to this place of desperation to be reminded that He alone is God and we need HIM above everything else in our lives. We don't do it intentionally, but we grasp for what is around us to fix our issues instead of looking to the one who has ALL the answers. Next time you find yourself dealing with the issues of life, or while you are currently dealing with a struggle ; take these steps.

1. Pray and Talk to God just like you would a best friend, mate, or whomever you confide in. He already knows your heart and thoughts anyways so open up!
2. Journal. Sometimes we can be in such distraught that it is hard for us to even speak how we feel. This is a great time to write to God how you feel. I have found so much healing in this process.
3. Refrain from depending on others wisdom and depend on God's word. Now I am not saying to forsake in seeking Godly counsel, we ALL should. But sometimes we depend too much on other's opinion or advice and treat it as if it is above what the Word says.
4.  Be Patient. All struggles are a process and it will take time to heal and recover. Ask God to give you the strength to be content where He has you presently and see the good in each day.
5. Stay In Faith. Regardless of what you see going on around you BELIEVE His Word and know that you will be restored and healed!
6. Seek Scriptures. Find scriptures that relate DIRECTLY to your situation and speak them over your situation each day.

I know it is hard. I know sometimes it seems things will not get better. But I PROMISE you they will. It is written in God's Word.

Psalm 46:1-3 — God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
